Job summary

Capital One in Richmond, VA is seeking a Sr. Staff Software Engineer to lead resilience engineering and define architectural vision for enterprise platforms. You will mentor teams, champion observability, disaster recovery, and chaos engineering to build fault-tolerant systems and reduce downtime across critical services.

You will work with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to guide strategic improvements and share knowledge through code, blogs, and community activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• At least 9 years of software engineering and solution architecture experience.
• At least 9 years in enterprise architecture and design patterns; 9+ years in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google).
