Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior/Staff Product Manager to shape the future of global money movement and embedded commerce. You will own strategy from architecture to worldwide roadmap execution, bridging payments with in-person commerce while leading cross-functional teams across multiple regions.

You will drive API-first development, AI-enabled onboarding, and scalable SDKs, partnering with Engineering, Legal, and Commercial teams to deliver high-impact products at a global scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in fintech, payments or commerce infrastructure.
• Hands-on domain expertise in card acquiring or embedded finance models (marketplaces, payfac-like setups) or POS/SoftPOS ecosystems.
• Proven ability to engage with engineering on API design, distributed ledgers, and high-throughput transaction processing.
• Analytical rigor with experience structuring complex ecosystem workflows and data-driven trade-offs.
• Entrepreneurial bias for action in a high-growth environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse international regions.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or quantitative disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery plans for Airwallex’s platform payments and in-person commerce solutions.
• Architect integrations linking POS workflows and embedded platform checkouts to core clearing and multi-currency settlement engines.
• Build developer-first APIs, unified commerce SDKs, and terminal management systems to reduce integration overhead.
• Pioneer AI workflows and autonomous agents across onboarding, terminal setup, risk management, reconciliation, and loyalty optimization.
• Expand capabilities around alternative payment methods, card acquiring, and loyalty redemption loops to monetize payments.
• Ensure high-availability infrastructure and regulatory compliance readiness (PCI-DSS, EMV, PSD3/local frameworks).
• Partner with Engineering, Hardware/Firmware, Commercial, Legal/Compliance, and Operations to scale products globally.
