Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead a next-generation user understanding initiative.

You will define embeddings, attributes, and LLM-based profiles to power personalization across Reddit products, shaping experiences for hundreds of millions of users. You will set technical direction, build scalable systems for embeddings and feature pipelines, and collaborate with product, infra, and ML teams to drive measurable impact and adoption across Feeds, Search,

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of production ML systems experience.
• Experience in user modeling and large-scale representation learning.
• Proven track record delivering high-impact initiatives.
• Strong collaboration with product and infra teams.

Responsibilities

• Define a unified user understanding strategy across embeddings, tags, and attributes.
• Lead the design and implementation of large-scale user models.
• Leverage LLMs to augment embeddings and profiles.
• Build scalable storage, pipelines, and APIs for embeddings.
• Collaborate with Feeds, Search, and Ads to drive adoption.
• Mentor senior engineers and drive best practices.
