Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 4+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience in CM, change workflows, and design control across full product lifecycle.
• Strong background in electromechanical design, specs, test procedure development, and tight-tolerance requirements.
• Proficient with structural FEA and thermal CFD analyses to validate and optimize designs.
• Experience with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drawings; familiarity with ASME Y14 and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of complex mechanical drawings, parts, and assemblies
• Analyze mechanical designs to meet system-level requirements and environmental specs
• Apply configuration management, engineering change workflows, and documentation control
• Collaborate with electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineers to optimize designs for performance, cost, and reliability
• Support material selection, tolerance analysis, and DFMA for ruggedized and high-precision systems
• Direct development and testing of mechanical designs for prototyping and manufacturing
