Job summary

Department of Motor Vehicles seeks a high-impact Chief of Staff for telework hybrid operations in Sacramento. You will lead the Administrative Services Branch, guiding HR, budgeting, facilities, and strategic initiatives while collaborating with executive leadership and enterprise partners.

You will shape workforce planning, succession, and organizational development, ensuring effective operations and adherence to state policies, with a priority on performance and results.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and ability to manage administrative and operational programs.
• Strategic consulting experience, especially with HR and talent management.
• Strong communication skills for executive-level interactions.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Administrative Services Branch and oversee operational support for six ISD branches.
• Provide strategic leadership in HR, workforce planning, labor relations and employee relations.
• Oversee budget, fiscal management, facilities, safety and organizational development initiatives.
• Represent ISD in department-wide and enterprise-wide initiatives and drive key projects.
