General Intuition & Medal is building world-class infrastructure for Medal, handling billions of clips and high-scale video pipelines. You will own on-call rotations, drive postmortems, and partner with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure keeps pace with rapid growth.

The role emphasizes reliability, incident response, and scalable design in a startup-scale environment, with the right candidate having prior startup experience and a track record of durable fixes over quick patches.

Qualifications

• Strong fluency in Terraform with real scale IaC experience.
• Hands-on Elasticsearch for user-facing features.
• GCP experience: Kubernetes, VPC, IAM, Cloud Logging.
• Relational databases scaled in production (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Calm in P0 incidents and postmortem-led prevention.
• GA/CD: production GitHub Actions experience.
• Clear, rapid incident communication and postmortems.
• Experience at startups with rapid growth scaling.
• Good judgment between durable fixes and temporary patches.

Responsibilities

• Own the on-call rotation and incident response.
• Drive postmortems and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to meet infrastructure needs.
• Support reliability and scaling as the platform grows.
