Job summary

General Intuition is building the infrastucture backbone for Medal and the General Intuition platform, focusing on cloud architecture, storage, and data pipelines. As a generalist infra engineer in New York, you will own end-to-end systems, from design through deployment, while mentoring and growing the team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with planet-scale distributed systems.
• Experience building infra from scratch, ideally as a founder or first infra engineer.
• Experience leading infra while staying hands-on, including hiring.
• Deep cloud and storage experience, production-grade systems.
• Proficiency with Terraform, IAM, Kubernetes on major cloud, and petabyte-scale object storage.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud architecture and the storage fleet for petabytes of gameplay video.
• Define technical direction and hire/grow the infra team while staying hands-on.
• Collaborate with research and product teams across General Intuition and Medal to design scalable systems.
