Ripple is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Financial Crimes, to lead the architectural direction of the compliance control plane in San Francisco. You will drive real-time screening, resilience, and regulator-grade auditability while shaping standards across teams, mentoring engineers, and partnering with executives to align the platform with regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• Ownership of architecture for complex distributed systems at scale across teams.
• Ability to set technical direction and drive adoption of standards across orgs.
• Strong design sense for APIs (REST/gRPC) and production-grade systems.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year architectural vision for the compliance control plane and its adoption.
• Lead real-time screening orchestration, resilience, and regulator-grade auditability.
• Define integration contracts and patterns used by partner teams.
• Translate regulatory obligations into durable engineering primitives and roadmaps.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the technical bar across the org.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align platform strategy with regulatory needs.
