Job summary

GEICO seeks a Senior Staff Engineer to build high-performance, secure, zero-downtime platforms and drive IT transformation. You will work with Distinguished Engineers and other senior staff to innovate, deliver high-quality products, and promote engineering excellence.

You will lead deployments of containerized applications, enforce security measures, and contribute to best practices across CI/CD pipelines, including Git/Jenkins/CircleCI/SonarQube, across Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Deep Linux technical knowledge.
• Experience with Linux kernel.
• Fluent in Rust, Golang, or C.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to ensure security, availability, and performance of containerized apps.
• Develop best practices and standards in container runtime tech.
• Deploy, scale, and manage containerized apps using Docker/Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate container runtimes with the tech stack.
• Implement security measures for container runtimes to protect against vulnerabilities.
