Job summary

Hims & Hers seeks a Sr. Staff Engineer to drive architectural innovation and long-term technical direction across the organization. You will shape the technical landscape, align engineering with product goals, and enable cross-functional execution at scale.

Lead with a focus on customer-centric design, governance, and sustainable growth, mentoring senior leaders and accelerating strategic initiatives in a fast-paced health tech environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with leadership roles.
• Experience with Kotlin, Java or Go and large-scale system design.
• Experience scaling shared infrastructure across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architectural vision for customer-facing systems aligned with business strategy.
• Lead cross-org initiatives addressing scale, boundaries and foundational capabilities.
• Establish patterns ensuring quality, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to shape direction and adoption of scalable practices.
• Mentor senior technical leaders and promote engineering rigor and growth.
• Translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions and drive platform architecture.
