Job summary

LVT (LiveView Technologies) is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the embedded camera platforms and own multi-year architecture. This role drives device-level software from encoding to analytics using Yocto and edge AI to create robust edge devices.

You will guide architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with hardware and software partners in a JDM model. Remote work is available or on-site at our Utah or Seattle hubs with travel to partners.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in software engineering or systems leadership.
Expertise in embedded Linux environments and Yocto distributions.
Experience with video processing pipelines and edge analytics.
Proven ability to drive architecture decisions in a multi-team environment.

Responsibilities

Own and drive system-wide architecture for embedded camera platforms.
Govern software on edge devices including encoding, storage, streaming, and retrieval.
Lead JDM partnerships and align cross-functional software/hardware teams.
Collaborate with TPMs across Hardware, PM, and Software for cohesive delivery.
Mentor engineers and perform rigorous architecture/code reviews.
Direct camera analytics development using AI-driven tools across the lifecycle.
