Job summary

White Bay is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to build the embedded software underpinning our computer vision products for camera-based sensing. You will work with embedded Linux, imaging sensors, camera modules and real-time data acquisition, bridging software and hardware with autonomy.

You will lead bring-up of new hardware platforms, develop and debug drivers, optimise image pipelines and collaborate across hardware and software teams to deliver robust prototypes and scalable

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional embedded software engineering experience.
• Hands-on development in C/C++ within embedded Linux environments.
• Experience integrating imaging hardware and camera systems.
• Knowledge of camera drivers and imaging pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software for real-time imaging and vision applications.
• Lead hardware bring-up with CMOS sensors and camera modules.
• Develop and troubleshoot camera drivers and interfaces.
• Build and optimise image acquisition pipelines focusing on latency and stability.
• Integrate sensors and peripherals via MIPI CSI-2, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet and GPIO.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to move hardware from bring-up to prototypes.
• Diagnose hardware/software issues with debugging tools and oscilloscopes.
• Prototype new sensing capabilities and validate performance.
• Contribute to architecture and maintainable software standards.
