Job summary

Chaos Industries in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to lead high-speed digital hardware design for aerospace/military applications. You will drive architecture, verification, and cross-disciplinary collaboration across digital, FPGA, software, RF, and mechanical teams.

The role requires a strong track record in timing, SI/PI, and board-level design with security clearance eligibility; onsite collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 12+ years of experience.
• Proven leadership of complex high-speed digital hardware designs.
• Strong timing, clocking, SI/PI, grounding and return-path knowledge.
• Experience with FPGAs, processors, memory devices and high-speed interfaces.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of high-speed digital circuit cards and subsystems.
• Review PCBAs with FPGAs, processors, memory, data converters, and interfaces.
• Define architectures balancing performance, schedule, manufacturability and reliability.
• Promote design practices for SI/PI, layout constraints, and verification.
• Mentor engineers across digital, FPGA, embedded software, RF, power, and mechanical teams.
• Coordinate hardware integration, verification, qualification testing, and field support.
• Interface with customers, vendors, and program leadership on digital hardware topics.
