Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Staff / Manager, DevOps Engineering to lead and scale DevOps capabilities across the organization. You will design robust CI/CD pipelines, manage source control, and partner with development teams to standardize tools and processes.

The role requires hands-on engineering skill, leadership, and collaboration across firmware and software teams, with focus on server firmware/software ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD with software/engineering experience and 6+ years in software engineering.
• 3+ years with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python.
• Strong DevOps experience with CI/CD, SCM, and automation.
• Hands-on and with technical leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
• Administer SCM platforms including GitLab and Perforce with release management.
• Integrate tools like Jira and Confluence for requirements, collaboration, and issue tracking.
• Develop and maintain build systems (Makefiles, CMake) for software delivery.
• Implement configuration management with Ansible and Chef.
• Support static analysis and code coverage tooling.
• Define branching strategies, versioning, and release workflows for multi-team development.
• Provide DevOps subject-matter expertise and mentorship across the organization.
• Collaborate with firmware/platform teams working on servers and firmware stacks (Zephyr, OpenBMC, EDK2).
• Develop automation with Shell scripting and Python.
