Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff / Manager, DevOps Engineering to lead and scale DevOps across the organization. You will design robust CI/CD pipelines, manage source control, and partner with development teams to standardize tools, processes, and best practices.

The role requires deep DevOps expertise, mentorship, and collaboration across firmware and platform teams including Zephyr and OpenBMC. A strong background in building scalable pipelines and automation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in engineering, information systems, CS with relevant work experience.
• Multiple degree levels accepted with corresponding years of software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to lead DevOps and software/firmware delivery pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines.
• Own SCM platforms (GitLab, Perforce) and ensure release management.
• Collaborate with Jira/Confluence for requirements, tracking, and documentation.
• Develop build systems and scripts (Makefiles, CMake) for compilation and delivery.
• Implement configuration management and automation (Ansible, Chef).
• Support static analysis and code coverage to ensure quality.
• Define branching/versioning/release workflows for multi-team development.
• Provide DevOps coaching and leadership across teams.
• Collaborate with firmware/platform teams on Zephyr/OpenBMC/EDK2.
• Develop automation tooling with Shell and Python.
