Job summary

SailPoint is seeking a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate the Identity Security Cloud on AWS. You will partner with engineering teams across the US, India, EMEA, and APAC to deliver a resilient, secure platform.

This fully remote role for candidates in the USA or Canada includes on‑call rotations, travel up to 10%, and opportunities to influence platform standards, security controls, and CI/CD pipelines across multiple AWS accounts and regions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on service mesh design in production Kubernetes.
• 7+ years 24x7 production operations in SaaS/cloud.
• 7+ years containerization, virtualization, configuration management.
• 4+ years Kubernetes in production at scale.
• 4+ years Terraform across multiple AWS accounts/regions.
• 4+ years CI/CD pipelines for Terraform, Kubernetes, microservices.
• 4+ years scripting in Python/Go and shell scripting.
• Strong Linux, networking, and production troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on service mesh architecture, troubleshooting at scale, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Design, operate, and optimize production Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS).
• Define and enforce Kubernetes standards, security hardening, Helm conventions, and deployment patterns.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, incident response, and CI/CD practices.
• Develop and improve operational runbooks and platform engineering standards.
• Collaborate with developers to safely bring new features to production.
• Support PCI DSS compliance through secure platform design and controls.
