Job summary
MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Staff Device Engineer to advance semiconductor device engineering, focusing on characterization for RF/analog and digital applications and development of SPICE models and PDK.
You will design test structures, optimize device layouts, and collaborate with IC design and foundry teams to ensure reliability and performance of advanced CMOS, SiGe BiCMOS, and HV/BCD technologies. Based in Irvine, CA, a strong background in EM/thermal analysis is required.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics and electromagnetic theory.
- Experience in device design and characterization, SPICE modeling, high-frequency measurements, and EM simulation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- R&D in device engineering, characterization for RF/analog & digital applications, and SPICE/PDK development.
- Design test structures for layout/structure optimization and PDK development for CMOS, SiGe BiCMOS, HV/BCD.
- Analyze electromagnetic/thermal effects and extract SPICE model parameters for active/passive devices and interconnects.
- Collaborate with IC design/DEA/CAD groups to improve PDK and IPs.
- Collaborate with foundry teams to review process technology and device reliability.
