Job summary

Arctic Wolf is seeking a Staff Developer to lead end-to-end delivery for exposure management within the security platform. You will shape technical strategy, craft high-level designs, and drive cross-team collaboration to deliver reliable, scalable real-time threat analysis across multiple services.

You will mentor engineers, help define reusable patterns, and coordinate with product, UX, security, and DevOps to achieve customer security objectives in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience shipping production-quality backend software with ownership of large systems or multi-team initiatives.
• Expert-level coding and system design skills for scalable, maintainable distributed systems.
• Broad experience designing, scaling, and operating cloud-based distributed systems, preferably on AWS.
• Strong hands-on experience with Golang; deep Java or other backend experience also valuable.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and observability practices.
• Experience creating high-level designs and technical strategies guiding multiple engineers/teams.
• Proven ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives and align stakeholders around pragmatic trade-offs.
• Experience in incident response, RCA, reliability improvements, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead large engineering projects and end-to-end delivery for exposure management and real-time threat analysis across services or teams.
• Create high-level designs and evaluate architectural trade-offs aligned with platform blueprints and security objectives.
• Develop reusable design patterns and standards for reliability, scalability, observability, performance, and maintainability.
• Own incident findings and systemic fixes for production services, driving RCA and readiness.
• Unblock teams on complex challenges and ensure delivery quality and timelines for major initiatives.
• Coordinate architecture across product, UX, security, DevOps, QA, and engineering partners for cross-team alignment.
• Mentor engineers and rising leaders to raise engineering standards through reviews and workshops.
