Job summary

Renesas is seeking a Senior Staff Product Definition Engineer to join the Performance Core Power team in Austin, TX. You will translate system-level power requirements into product and design specifications for high-performance processors and datacenter platforms.

The ideal candidate has a strong DC/DC power conversion background and experience with CPU/ASIC power-management. You will collaborate with IC design, systems, firmware and validation to define architecture and interfaces.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience in power electronics, power-management semiconductors, or related product development.
Experience translating system or customer requirements into actionable technical requirements or engineering specifications.
Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
BS in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

Understand system-level power challenges and translate requirements into product specifications and use cases.
Contribute to voltage-regulator architecture and product definition for high-performance platforms.
Collaborate with IC design, systems, firmware, validation and marketing to evaluate trade-offs and schedules.
Develop and maintain technical documentation including product requirements and interface specifications.
Support system analysis, modeling and evaluation of new product concepts.
