Job summary

Hartford Fire Insurance Company, based in Hartford, CT, seeks a Sr. Staff Data Engineer to lead large-scale data products and end-to-end solutions across multiple platforms. This role drives architecture decisions, data pipeline integrity, and technology evaluations to enable scalable analytics.

The candidate will partner with architects and stakeholders, oversee data warehousing, ELT processes, and cloud/on-prem hybrid hosting, with telecommuting available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field with 5+ years in software or data engineering.
• 5 years in programming, SDLC, distributed systems, data warehousing (SQL/NoSQL) and ETL tools; 3 years in CI/CD, Bigdata, Cloud (AWS/Azure) and Python or Spark, Datamesh, Datalake, Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data product delivery across platforms.
• Architect and supervise data pipelines, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Evaluate open source tools and advise on technology choices.
