Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in applicable jurisdictions with active CLE compliance (where applicable).
• Minimum seven years of litigation experience, including insurance defense or personal injury.

Responsibilities

• Conducts audits of Staff Counsel files to measure and ensure quality case handling and compliance with Staff Counsel policies and procedures.
• Provides post-audit feedback to management on cases that may need immediate attention and any violations discovered.
• Acts as an objective source of independent recommendations to senior management and communicates findings and recommendations clearly.
• Prepares and presents reports on audit trends to senior management and Staff Counsel Managers and makes recommendations to improve audit effectiveness.
• Assists in developing best practices and recommends improvements to existing policies and procedures.
• Adheres to the GEICO Code of Conduct and company policies and operating principles.
• Meets attendance standards at the business location to perform job functions and interact with management and co-workers.
• Must be able to travel to staff counsel offices across the country up to 25% of the time.
