Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a senior leader to architect and evolve cloud-native backend platforms, APIs, and data systems powering critical CGM technology. You will advance AI-assisted development and drive architectural strategy across multiple teams, partnering with Product, Security, and Data leaders.

You will mentor engineers, oversee lifecycle stages, implement CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code, and optimize cloud costs while delivering scalable, secure solutions on GCP.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and extensive related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of scalable cloud-native backend platforms, APIs, event-driven services, and data systems powering critical business capabilities.
• Drive technical strategy and engineering excellence across multiple teams, influencing architectural decisions and platform investments.
• Champion AI-assisted software development practices, establishing standards and workflows to improve velocity and quality.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the software lifecycle including design, testing, security, and deployment.
• Design and optimize distributed systems leveraging GCP services to ensure scalability and cost efficiency.
• Partner with leaders to define roadmaps and deliver strategic initiatives.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise technical bar across the organization.
