Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Staff Chief Engineer in the Survivability OU based in Redondo Beach/El Segundo, CA. You will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team across IRAD/CRAD programs, shaping survivability technologies from RF to acoustic domains and coordinating across BU’s and with customers.

Responsibilities include defining technical requirements, guiding the technical direction, chairing the TRB, and ensuring schedule and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 14 years related experience or MS with 12 years or PhD with 8 years.
• Experience in Air Vehicle Survivability, Low Observables design & analysis, Testing, Modeling & Simulation, Mission Systems Integration.
• Active Secret clearance or higher, ability to obtain SAP/TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for the OU providing guidance to IRAD/CRAD programs.
• Define and control technical requirements; ensure coordination across projects.
• Interface with customer and senior leadership.
• Ensure programs follow engineering principles and company standards.
• Oversee technical performance measures and contribute to cost/schedule management.
• Chair Technical Review Board (TRB).
• Support risk management by identifying technical risks.
• Provide mentorship on systems engineering tools and methods.
