Job summary

PER International in Woburn, MA is seeking a Senior Staff Design Engineer—Analog/Mixed-Signal to drive the design of advanced analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuits for state-of-the-art wireless connectivity applications.

The role is hands-on, taking designs from concept through silicon validation, collaborating with architecture, layout, test, and other engineering teams to deliver cutting-edge wireless solutions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong analysis, design, and debug skills for analog, mixed-signal, or RF circuits.
• Tape-out experience is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of linear systems and signal processing.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment for silicon evaluation and debug.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, ADE, MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Circuit Design: Design advanced analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuits for wireless applications.
• Layout Implementation: Review layout implementation to optimize performance, area, and reliability.
• Performance & Debug: Analyze, debug, and optimize circuit performance via simulations and lab measurements.
• Design Documentation: Prepare specifications, design reports, and presentations for internal reviews.
• Silicon Evaluation: Define test procedures and characterize silicon in lab settings.
• Architecture & Technology Exploration: Support investigations for future products and platforms.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with architecture, systems, layout, test, and product teams to ensure successful tape-out.
