RF Venue is seeking a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Walpole, Massachusetts. You will work across the entire product lifecycle—from architecture and schematic design through prototype bring-up, verification, regulatory testing, manufacturing introduction, and sustaining engineering.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Strong analog and mixed-signal circuit design skills.
• Solid understanding of digital electronics and embedded interfaces.
• Experience designing and debugging DC/DC converters, regulators, filtering, power distribution, and sequencing.
• Strong grounding, shielding, EMI/EMC, and practical PCB design understanding.
• Proven experience bringing PCB designs from schematic to production.

Responsibilities

• Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, power, and control circuitry for new products.
• Develop system architectures and translate product requirements into hardware designs.
• Create schematics and coordinate with PCB designers on routing, grounding, and power distribution.
• Select and evaluate components including ICs, power supplies, converters, amplifiers, interfaces.
• Bring up prototype PCBs and troubleshoot at component and system level.
• Perform hands-on lab testing using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment.
• Diagnose noise, EMI/EMC, grounding and power integrity issues.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements (EMC, safety, FCC/CE).
• Collaborate with RF, firmware/software, mechanical, manufacturing, and product teams.
• Support design transfer to manufacturing and yield improvement.
• Investigate production and field failures and perform root-cause analysis.
