Intuit's Virtual Expert Platform (VEP) Sales Tech team seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer to set technical direction for an agentic AI seller platform and its data integrations. You will architect end-to-end systems, drive cross-team initiatives, and raise the engineering bar across the org.

This hands-on leadership role requires about 40–60% coding effort, plus architecture, strategy, and governance work across Salesforce integrations and real-time/batch data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience building web, software, or data-intensive applications.
• Architect end-to-end ecosystems for analytical and customer-centric platforms at scale.
• Expert in Java/J2EE or C#, with distributed systems design experience.
• Hands-on experience shipping AI/ML capabilities in production (LLM/agentic systems).
• Ability to influence technical direction across teams and communicate trade-offs to leadership.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, interoperable platforms across large ecosystem including Salesforce and data pipelines.
• Contribute 40–60% hands-on development across the software lifecycle; remaining time on architecture and strategy.
• Resolve complex cross-team technical problems with end-to-end quality for technology and customer experience.
• Define standards, patterns, and reference architectures; measure impact and safety of AI in production.
• Design evaluation, observability, and guardrails for AI integrations and assess impact on performance and productivity.
• Influence senior product and business leadership with clear technical trade-offs and roadmap input.
• Mentor staff and engineers; grow AI-capable engineers across the org.
• Stay current with AI/data landscape and identify high-leverage opportunities for AI across the platform.
