Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to set the technical direction for the agentic AI seller platform and related data integrations. This hands-on leadership role requires architecting multi-agent systems, guiding cross-team collaboration, and raising engineering quality across the organization.

You will stay deeply involved in development while shaping strategy, governance, and the adoption of AI across the platform. Strong communication with senior leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience building web, software, or data-intensive applications.
• Architect end-to-end ecosystems for analytical and customer-centric platforms at scale.
• Proficiency in at least one OO language (Java/J2EE or C#) with sound design decisions across distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience designing and shipping AI/ML capabilities in production, including LLM-based or agentic systems.
• Ability to influence technical direction across teams and communicate trade-offs to senior leaders.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect analytical and customer-centric platforms that are scalable, secure, and interoperable across a large ecosystem including Salesforce and data pipelines.
• Stay hands-on for 40–60% of development across the software lifecycle; remaining time on architecture and strategy.
• Lead cross-team technical problems to resolution and ensure end-to-end quality in technology and customer experience.
• Define and evolve technical standards, patterns, and reference architectures used by other engineers; measure impact and safety of AI in production.
• Take AI integrations to production responsibly: design evaluation, observability, guardrails, and impact assessment.
