Job summary

Gallagher Recruiting LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Florida to join a growing international accounting team. The role handles a broad range of day-to-day and month-end activities across multiple entities, with ownership of journal entries and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Hands-on month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prior payroll processing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with AP, AR and employee expense processing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly close for multiple entities.
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process payroll and reconcile payroll-related accounts and benefits.
• Review and process employee expense reports.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare accruals, prepaids and other month-end entries.
• Assist with benefits-related reconciliations.
• Maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.
• Support accounting activities across multiple U.S. entities.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members across functions.
