Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Hands-on month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prior payroll processing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with AP, AR and employee expense processing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly close for multiple entities.
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process payroll and reconcile payroll-related accounts and benefits.
• Review and process employee expense reports.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare accruals, prepaids and other month-end entries.
• Assist with benefits-related reconciliations.
• Maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.
• Support accounting activities across multiple U.S. entities.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members across functions.

A growing international organization is seeking a hands-on Senior Staff Accountant to join its collaborative U.S. accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and is comfortable working across multiple areas of accounting rather than being limited to one function.

This position will initially begin on a temp-to-hire basis, with the intention of converting to a permanent employee based on mutual fit and performance. During the temporary period, the company will provide 100% employer-paid health insurance for the employee.

What You'll Do

You’ll work closely with the Controller and accounting team and have responsibility for a broad range of day-to-day and month-end accounting activities, including:

• Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly close for multiple entities
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
• Process payroll and reconcile payroll-related accounts and benefits
• Review and process employee expense reports
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Prepare accruals, prepaids and other month-end entries
• Assist with benefits-related reconciliations
• Maintain accurate supporting schedules and accounting documentation
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
• Support accounting activities across multiple U.S. entities
• Research and resolve account discrepancies
• Partner with team members and step in across accounting functions as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Approximately 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and GAAP
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end close, journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prior experience personally processing payroll is strongly preferred
• Experience with AP, AR and employee expense processing
