Job summary

Jobot in Seattle is seeking a dynamic Senior Staff Accountant to join our high-growth aerospace-leader team. You will prepare financial statements, manage monthly close, reconciliations, and support A/R/A/P, with potential to grow into an Assistant Controller role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s or CPA preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proven experience with SOX and strong GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Baan, or Infor.
• Experience assisting in A/R and A/P transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for presenting financial information.
• Cost accounting activities including standard cost analysis, inventory, Capex and fixed assets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and SOX standards.
• Serve as back-up for accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with annual operating plan and financial forecasts.
• Manage monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and control reviews.
• Collaborate with departments to develop financial strategies.
• Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors.
