Job summary

Explore Industries in Knoxville, Tennessee is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to own close, reporting and analysis across multiple entities, including the pool franchise and tanks entities. The role reports to the Controller and sits in a high-volume environment.

You will reconcile accounts, prepare financials, lead the annual budget, support year-end audit and tax work, and assist franchisees with their financials with emphasis on accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
• Intermediate to expert Excel skills and ability to communicate clearly.
• On-site work requirement in Knoxville, Tennessee.
• CPA preferred; multi-entity close or ERP budgeting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with GAAP.
• Support month-end close and reporting for multiple companies.
• Prepare complete financials for pool franchise and tanks entities.
• Lead the annual budget process and ERP budget loading.
• Support annual audit and tax work; draft financial statements and notes.
• Document procedures and perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
