Job summary

Agtslots in Las Vegas is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to lead key close activities, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and asset accounting. You will help ensure accurate financial reporting and uphold robust internal controls.

The role requires mentoring team members, supporting the Director of Finance – North America, and driving continuous improvements in accounting processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required, with progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in a gaming or hospitality gaming environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for operational and financial activity, including month-end accruals, intercompany transactions, and other entries.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Manage intercompany accounting processes with cross-functional stakeholders and ensure proper eliminations and period-end cutoffs.
• Maintain fixed asset and intangible asset accounting, including depreciation calculations and related entries.
• Support inventory accounting activities, including tracking and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly state sales and use tax returns and reconcile tax payable accounts.
• Oversee travel and expense processes and ensure policy compliance.
• Review payroll activity and journal entries to record payroll-related expenses.
• Mentor and train finance staff and drive process improvements across accounting systems.
• Coordinate audit and tax requests, ensuring documentation is audit-ready.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and cross-functional collaboration as needed.
