Job summary

Viejas Casino & Resort is seeking an Accounting Manager to assist the Controller in managing the Accounting Department’s daily operations. You will supervise accounting staff, oversee the general ledger, fixed assets, cash management, and monthly close processes while ensuring accurate financial reporting for Viejas enterprises.

You will collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls; support external auditors and ensure data integrity, timely reporting, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related area.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• 7–10 years of related education/experience.
• 5–7 years of related supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and close the general ledger accurately.
• Review and approve journal entries and manage timely close.
• Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts and payroll-related expenses.
• Coordinate audits and prepare audit work papers with internal/external auditors.
• Manage fixed assets and construction in progress controls and depreciation.
