Job summary

Climate Systems, LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support accounting operations and provide accurate financial reporting from Charlotte, NC. You will own general ledger activity, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end closes while collaborating with the Controller.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, process improvements, and effective cross-functional work to uphold the company’s standards and drive financial accuracy across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including general ledger and reconciliations.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting and accounting fundamentals.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP and GL software.
• Independent, detail-oriented, with deadlines and accuracy as priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly financial statement cycle and assigned accounting functions.
• Handle daily accounts receivable activities including customer account management.
• Manage accounts payable activities including vendor management and invoicing.
• Prepare and post daily/monthly general ledger entries, accruals and adjustments.
• Assist with payroll processing and related accounting tasks.
• Conduct monthly GL reviews and account reconciliations.
• Contribute to month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Research and resolve complex accounting discrepancies with the Controller.
• Participate in ERP system implementation and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company procedures; prepare reports and analyses.
