Job summary

Extra Special Parents is seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant in Richmond, VA for a hybrid role. You will manage month-end close, general ledger, billing, payroll-related accounting, and financial reporting in a GAAP framework.

Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is essential to ensure accurate financials. The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance and 3+ years of related experience, with QuickBooks Online and Excel proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Three+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close and financial statement prep required.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close and prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
• Maintain general ledger and balance sheet accounts with accurate classifications.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and schedules.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal control adherence.
• Process accounts payable/receivable, billing, and payroll-related accounting.
• Coordinate with auditors and assist with year-end audits.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
