Senior Staff Accountant/Analyst

Fort Worth, TX – hybrid/remote – super flexible on days in office (people live all over the metroplex, usually go in when CFO is in town/board meetings)

One of Vaco’s private equity backed distribution clients is looking to onboard an Accountant/Analyst due to continued growth of the organization.

Accountants will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting and budgeting forecasting for one of the divisions in America. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, the ability to manage multiple entities, and a proactive mindset in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Compensation: $85-90K + bonus

Day-to-day

• Manage full-cycle accounting including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and intercompany transactions
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances
• Prepare monthly property financial statements and supporting schedules
• Deliver timely and accurate reporting packages to internal stakeholders and asset management teams
• Assist with budget vs. actual analysis and forecasting support
• Support revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations
• Support external audits, lender reporting, and tax preparation processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Assist with internal controls and process improvements
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiencyParticipate in system implementations or enhancements as the company scales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
