Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist in the Washington, DC area to support day-to-day accounting operations. The role involves hands-on general ledger tasks, reconciliations, AP/AR, and assisting with month-end close in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
• Hands-on accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
• Experience supporting month-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Review and process accounts payable invoices.
• Maintain accounts receivable records and apply cash payments.
