Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Lowell, AR seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to ensure accurate representation of business accounts in financial statements.

You will develop solutions for complex financial analysis, forecasting and reporting under supervision. Responsibilities include assisting the Controller, improving expense management with other departments, preparing operating budgets, and supporting audit work papers for SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 2–3 years in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and Excel; strong analytic and communication skills.
• Preferred: CPA/CFA or progress toward designation; knowledge of SQL and data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller and represent Finance at month-end and management reviews.
• Collaborate with departments on expense management strategies and procedures.
• Update training materials and job aides; support financial reporting.
• Prepare reports and presentations on financial performance for internal/external use.
• Assist with operating budget preparation for various departments.
