MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group in Chicago, Illinois, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant / General Ledger Accountant to join a US-based furniture manufacturer. This on-site role reports to the CFO and handles the full accounting cycle in a lean finance team.

You will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, maintain the general ledger, and perform GL and bank reconciliations. The role supports budgets/forecasts and audits, with close collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years hands-on accounting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing companies.
• Lean accounting team experience (small teams).
• MAS 90 / Sage 100 experience.

Responsabilités

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Maintain an accurate general ledger: post entries, review, and support month-end close.
• Perform GL and bank reconciliations and reconcile other financial accounts.
• Support budgets and forecasts and analyze variances.
• Assist internal and external audits with documentation and responses to auditor requests.
• Process accounts payable with 3-way match and manage vendor data.
