Job summary

Heartline Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a full-time, on-site role in Chicago, IL. This hands-on position covers the complete accounting cycle in a manufacturing environment, including financial reporting, GL activity, month-end close, reconciliations, A/P, A/R, budgeting, forecasting, and audit support.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing and comfortable working in a small, lean accounting department under the CFO.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on accounting experience consistent with 5–10 years REQUIRED
• Career experience predominantly within manufacturing companies REQUIRED
• Full-cycle accounting experience REQUIRED
• General ledger and month-end close experience REQUIRED
• Financial reporting experience REQUIRED
• General ledger and bank reconciliation experience REQUIRED
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience REQUIRED
• Budgeting and forecasting experience REQUIRED
• Audit-support experience REQUIRED
• Hands-on accounting software and ERP experience REQUIRED
• Experience working within a small or lean accounting environment REQUIRED
• Ability to independently manage the complete accounting cycle REQUIRED
• Ability to work fully on-site in Chicago, IL 60632 REQUIRED
• Candidate should be within approximately a 45-minute commute of the worksite REQUIRED
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and ability to handle confidential information REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement preparation.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and month-end close.
• Review, post, and adjust general ledger entries as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and perform reconciliations.
• Enter vendor payables and process weekly check runs.
• Post cash receipts and reconcile customer accounts.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support internal and external audits.
