Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with coursework in accounting.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Prior experience supervising accounting transactions or junior staff preferred.
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office. MAS 90/Sage 100 experience a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple requests/assignments.
• Strong communications skills for both staff and upper management.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business demands.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and review transaction-level accounting activity including accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, payroll entries, and journal entries.
• Monitor the general ledger for unusual activity and initiate corrective action.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts.
• Assist in month-end close processes and provide variance analyses.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, including annual operating budget preparation.
• Support external audit and tax preparation activities and respond to requests.
