Kelly Services in New Jersey is seeking a Staff Accountant for a direct-hire opportunity in Runnemede. The role supports day-to-day accounting, monthly close, reconciliations, inventory accounting and financial reporting, with potential long-term growth into an Accounting Manager role.

The position is primarily in-office with occasional work-from-home flexibility after onboarding. Ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, ERP experience (Sage 100), and a detail-oriented, independent work

Qualifications

Associate degree in Accounting required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Solid understanding of reconciliations, journal entries and financial statements.
Sage 100 ERP experience preferred; strong Excel/MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timely.
Prepare and review journal entries, including write-offs and inventory adjustments.
Maintain supporting documentation for monthly journal entries.
Assist with inventory control, including warehouse and store cycle counts.
Support sales tax filings and other accounting compliance activities.
Maintain utility allocations between business entities.
Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Assist with 1099 reporting and year-end accounting activities.
