Job summary

Odoo, a leading open-source ERP provider, seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to own core accounting functions in a fast-growing environment. The role covers AR/AP, reconciliations, month-end close, budgeting support, and internal controls, with collaboration across functions to automate processes using scripting and AI tools.

You will work on scalable financial processes, ensuring accuracy and robust reporting, while leveraging AI to streamline repetitive tasks within Odoo and related systems.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, FP&A, finance, revenue operations, business operations, or consulting.
• CPA or working towards CPA designation.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition, AR/AP processes.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets with complex formulas and modeling.
• Interest in leveraging AI, automation, and systems to improve efficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
• Strong written and verbal communication; self-directed and able to own projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle accounts receivable from quote-to-cash, including invoicing, reconciliations, and collections follow-up.
• Process vendor invoices accurately and ensure timely approvals and payments.
• Design, maintain, audit, and document sales commission plans in spreadsheets and Odoo.
• Partner with department leads to maintain clean data capture processes in Odoo for reliable reporting.
• Improve sales, operational, and accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Support annual and quarterly budgeting, forecasting, and headcount reviews.
• Identify, document, and automate repetitive finance processes using scripting and AI tools.
• Implement processes and controls to ensure cost-effective purchasing and pricing across vendors.
