Job summary

Omnitech S.A. in Greece and Evelent SW AB in Sweden seek a Senior Odoo Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting in Odoo ERP and support the European finance team from a fully remote setup.

The role focuses on invoicing, reconciliation, monthly closing, and reporting, with emphasis on accuracy and data integrity across multiple currencies and VAT rules. You will collaborate with EU-based accountants and an international ERP team to optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting (invoicing, bills, payments, reconciliation, reports).
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFS).
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Responsibilities

• Record customer invoices, vendor bills, credit notes, payments and expenses in Odoo Accounting module.
• Maintain accurate books, journal entries and the general ledger.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including outstanding balances.
• Carry out bank reconciliations and keep bank statements up to date in Odoo.
• Reconcile supplier, customer and payment accounts and investigate differences.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, aged receivables/payables, and cash flow reports.
• Build and maintain reports/dashboards in Odoo and Excel for management.
• Support month-end and year-end closing with finance team and external accountants in Europe.

About Us

We are Omnitech S.A. in Greece and Evelent SW AB in Sweden, operating in the mobile and consumer electronics industry. Our work covers e-commerce stores, smartphone spare parts distribution, authorised repair services and refurbished devices across Europe.

We are building a remote team in India and are looking for an experienced Senior Odoo Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting in Odoo ERP and support our finance team in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Daily Accounting

• Record customer invoices, vendor bills, credit notes, payments and expenses in the Odoo Accounting module.
• Maintain accurate books, journal entries and the general ledger.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including outstanding balances.

Reconciliation

• Carry out bank reconciliations and keep bank statements up to date in Odoo.
• Reconcile supplier, customer and payment accounts, and investigate any differences.
• Match payments with invoices and bills.

Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial reports, aged receivables and payables, and cash flow reports.
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Odoo and Excel for management.
• Support month-end and year-end closing with our finance team and external accountants in Europe.

Systems & Data

• Keep accounting data clean and accurate in Odoo (partners, taxes, accounts, journals).
• Find and fix data errors, and support the data flow between Odoo and other systems.
• Work with our ERP team to improve accounting workflows and automation in Odoo.
• Follow European (Greek and Swedish) VAT and accounting rules, with guidance from our finance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting (invoicing, bills, payments, reconciliation, reports).
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Proven experience with bank and account reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFS).
• Experience preparing financial reports.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Considered an Advantage

• Experience working with international or European clients.
• Knowledge of VAT (EU VAT is a plus).
• Experience with Odoo Sales, Purchase and Inventory modules.
• Experience in e-commerce or businesses with high stock volume.
• Experience with other ERP or accounting tools (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero).
• CA Inter, CMA or a similar qualification.
