Job summary

Odoo is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to own core accounting functions across AR/AP, reconciliations, and month-end close, with a focus on scalable processes. You will partner with cross-functional teams to enhance controls and automate repetitive work using scripting and AI tools.

This role requires strong GAAP knowledge, 5+ years in accounting/FP&A, CPA in progress, and proficiency in Odoo and advanced Excel. Hybrid setup in Brisbane, CA offers a collaborative finance environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting, FP&A, or related roles.
• CPA or working toward CPA designation.
• Strong GAAP, revenue recognition, AR/AP knowledge.
• Advanced Excel/Sheets with complex formulas.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle AR from quote-to-cash, invoicing, reconciliations, and collections
• Process vendor invoices with timely approvals and payments
• Design, maintain, audit, and document sales commission plans in spreadsheets and Odoo
• Partner with department leads to maintain clean data capture in Odoo for reporting
• Improve sales, operations, and accounting processes for efficiency
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and headcount reviews
• Identify and automate repetitive finance processes with scripting/AI
• Implement cost-effective purchasing and pricing controls
