Responsibilities

• Support preparation and review of P&L statements and financial reporting.
• Assist with audits and information requests, ensuring accuracy and timely responses.
• Review accounting processes and reports to identify efficiency improvements.
• Support cross-functional accounting initiatives and system reporting enhancements.

Our client is an organization in the Rock County area that’s looking for a Senior Staff Accountant. The salary for this position is 68K.

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial documents to support accurate financial reporting and month-end close processes.
• Analyze and reconcile assigned accounts, intercompany transfers, inventory activity, AR balances, notes, and transactions across multiple systems to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the preparation and review of P&L statements, preliminary reports, periodic financial reporting, and financial statement distribution.
• Assist with audits, information requests, record retention, and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely responses.
• Review current accounting processes, reports, and workflows to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, accuracy, and process improvement.
• Support special projects, system reporting enhancements, and cross-functional accounting initiatives as needed.

The Senior Staff Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Proficient in Excel, including the ability to work with spreadsheets, formulas, and financial data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and stakeholders.
