THE POSITION:

tomboyx is looking for a detail and process-oriented accountant to join our team. This role will have collaborative exposure across the organization, partnering with all teams, including leadership, to progress the business and support growth and efficiency. This role requires breadth of capability across the various elements of accounting and focused financial stewardship of the business. Critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Apply technical accounting knowledge to serve as an expert in revenue recognition, accounts receivable and cash receipts, inventory accuracy, operating expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses.

·Support the month end close process

oPrepares accurate journal entries and supporting documentation

oPerform balance sheet reconciliations and analysis of financial system outputs.

oAnalysis of trends and variances to expected outcomes.

·Own Accounts Payable Process

oResponsible for the full accounts payable process

oObtain necessary departmental approvals

oMatching of respective documents – PO, invoice, receiving reports

oMaintain good relationships with vendors and responding timely to inquiries

oProcess and record corporate credit card transactions

oManage vendor master file and accounts payable process & systems

oPrepare forms 1099 annually

oManage employee expense reporting process

·Manage high volume direct to consumer transactions – ensure accuracy of sales reporting and relationship to cash receipts

·Conduct accounting research and drafting technical documentation

·Propose and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP

·Supports company objectives through departmental and personal goals

·Assist with, and lead, special projects as necessary

WHO YOU ARE:

REQUIREMENTS:

·Minimum 2 years of experience in similar or comparable roles, mix of public accounting and private industry is a plus

  • CPA credentials a plus

·Experience with GSuite, Excel & MS Office Suite, along with general technical aptitude for systems and hardware

·Experience with NetSuite and related system integrations is preferred
