Senior Staff Accountant - Exciting opportunity with a dynamic and growing company. This is a direct hire opportunity onsite in Norcross, GA. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. You also need to be bilingual in English/Spanish.

Position summary:

Assist in the preparation of the monthly closing for the company, including but not limited to monthly operational reporting, inventory closings, and all aspects of variance and financial analysis. Work closely with management in the coordination of the annual budgeting process and various financial scenarios and projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Strong background in general ledger accounting and manufacturing cost accounting (WIP, BOMs using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains).
• Prepare and record journal entries and accrual transactions for management review and approval for month-end close in accordance with GAAP.
• Responsible for monthly fixed asset subledger closing and related functions.
• Prepare general ledger account analysis and schedules for external auditors.
• Coordinate and evaluate physical inventory cycle counts.
• Prepare timely bank reconciliations at month-end.
• Invoicing and reconciliation of inter-company transactions.
• Post weekly payroll and prepare month-end payroll accruals.
• Prepare and analyze month-end financial statements (P&L and balance sheet).
• Review general ledger and reconcile balance sheet accounts at month-end.
• Ensure efficient monthly closing and inventory account reconciliation.
• Examine workflow processes and recommend improvements.
• Perform other ad hoc financial duties and participate in projects supporting departmental goals and deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills, including vlookups, pivot tables, and macros.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
• Minimum of a 4-year college degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of related accounting/finance experience in manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles related to accounts payable, receivable, and the general ledger.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines with integrity.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to operate independently.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proven initiative, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of MS Visio or similar software is a plus but not required.
