Position Summary

We’re seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close. This is a critical role that works closely with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting, tight controls, and smooth integration with our operations, inventory, and sales processes. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of accounting experience, understanding and experience with inventory, and is highly proficient in SAP Business One.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Support full-cycle month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile inventory balances across systems and physical counts
• Assist with sales tax, use tax, and other compliance filings
• Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and audits
• Collaborate with the operations team on COGS and freight allocation
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist in process documentation and controls implementation
• Serve as a power user of SAP B1, helping optimize reporting and accuracy
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Distribution, wholesale, or inventory-based business experience required
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with ERP systems and implementations
• Advanced Excel skills; comfort with pivot tables and large data sets
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
