A small and dynamic public accounting firm in the Greater Cleveland area is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant with 3+ years of tax preparation and review experience to join their team. This position is geared towards tax preparation and is ideal for someone looking to build a solid foundation in public accounting while working in a collaborative, in-office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Preparation: Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profits with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Client Support: Work closely with clients to gather necessary information, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
• Research: Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations to provide informed and up-to-date tax preparation services.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with senior staff and managers to ensure quality control and meet client expectations.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of tax preparation processes and workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (candidates on the EA or CPA path will also be considered).
• CPA or CPA candidate a plus.
• Minimum of 3+ years of tax preparation experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Experience with CCH Access Tax or similar software
